This explains what Tuvio stores about you, who helps us process it, how long we keep it, and how to get it deleted. Plain language, no surprises. This is a working draft — it describes how the product actually behaves today and will be reviewed by a lawyer before launch.
Who we are
Tuvio ("we", "us") provides a tool that turns coding-tutorial videos into step-by-step build guides. Tuvio is operated by [Company legal name], [Street, postcode, city], [Country] (CVR [CVR number]), which is the data controller for the personal data described here. What we collect and store
Account & identity
When you sign up we store your name, email address, profile image (if any), and a sign-in identifier. Sign-in is handled by Clerk; we never see or store your password.
Content you give us
The videos you upload (or the YouTube links you paste) and the tutorials Tuvio generates from them. Uploaded video files are kept in our storage so we can process them and show you the result. Your tutorials are private to your account by default.
Credits & billing
Your credit balance and transaction history, plus the billing metadata needed to match a purchase to your account. Card payments are handled by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.
Operational logs
Basic technical events (a video started processing, a job failed, credits were granted) so we can run the service, fix problems, and prevent abuse.
How we use it
- To run the service — process your videos and generate tutorials.
- To manage your credits and process payments.
- To answer support questions and send essential service email.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
We do not train AI models on your content, and we do not sell your data.
Legal bases (GDPR)
- Contract — to provide the service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — security, abuse prevention, and improving the product (never by training on your content).
- Consent — where required, e.g. non-essential cookies.
- Legal obligation — keeping records we're required to keep (e.g. tax).
Who processes your data (sub-processors)
We use a small set of trusted providers to run Tuvio. Each only processes what it needs to do its job:

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU. Where they do, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your tutorials and uploaded videos until you delete them or close your account. Billing records are kept for as long as the law requires. Deleting your account wipes your content.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can:
- Access a copy of your data.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Take your data elsewhere (portability).
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Complain to your local data-protection authority.

Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account from your account settings, or by emailing us. When you do, we remove your tutorials, uploaded videos, and profile. Some records we're legally required to keep (like billing history) are retained only for as long as the law requires, then deleted.
Cookies
Tuvio uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in and to process payments. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to what's needed to run the service, and payment details are handled by Stripe rather than stored by us.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change we'll update this page and, where appropriate, let you know in the app or by email.
